My teaching method

I currently teach at my home in Gateshead on a high quality electronic drum kit, while also offering an online alternative through my teaching on Zoom. I use the Trinity Rock and Pop syllabus to guide my teaching method and give structure to your learning, however, there is no obligation to take exams (unless you want to) and if there is something in particular that you want to learn, I'm more than happy to help you learn it!

Testimonials

"I've had a liking for percussion instruments, most notably the drums, but never really had an opportunity to really get into them. Erin offered a chance to try it out and I took it, letting me find a new instrument to love (and struggle) to play. I've only done 6 lessons and I'm already learning at Trinity Grade 2 due to her guidance; I'm ecstatic about my progress and I have Erin to thank." - Rosie

"Erin is a great drumming tutor. She is very professional, and tailors each session to your abilities. Erin explains things in an easy format and ensures you're picking up the most difficult parts. I really get a lot out of our sessions. I also found it helpful that there is no pressure on me to go for grading, but that this is an option if I'd like to. We're working our way through the materials currently and it's exciting to keep learning new aspects! Thanks for your help Erin." - Helen

"When I first started with Erin, I said I didn't want to read music because I always found it hard. But, with each lesson, I'm reading more and more and actually starting to get the hang of it. She makes it feel easy and not intimidating at all, and I'm learning way more than I ever thought possible." - Margi
